5.2 Preparing the Instrument after Installation
After installation the instrument is basically ready for operation.
Only if a temperature sensor is used, the sensor must first be calibrated before
performing the first measurement
A.Krüss recommends validation of the P3000 after transport and installation.
Warning!
Damage to the retina by the LED light source.
Do not look directly into the LED light source in the
sample chamber.
Switching on the
Instrument
Switch on the polarimeter (switch is located at the
back of the instrument).
Stabilizing the light source!
After switching on the instrument the light source must
reach thermal equilibrium, i.e. to achieve highest
precision, you should wait approx. 10 - 15 minutes
before starting the first measurement.
Switching on the Printer If a printer is connected, it must be switched on in the
system settings as follows:
Open the settings menu with .
