Main work
– Stand the vehicle upright.
– Remove screw cap 1 with the washer and membrane 2.
– Add brake fluid to the MAX mark.
Brake fluid DOT 4 / DOT 5.1 ( p. 174)
– Mount the screw cap with the washer and membrane.
Info
Clean up overflowed or spilt brake fluid immediately with water.
12.10 Checking the rear brake linings
Warning
Danger of accidents Reduced braking efficiency caused by worn brake linings.
– Change worn brake linings immediately. (Your authorized KTM workshop will be glad to help.)
Note
Danger of accidents Reduced braking efficiency caused by damaged brake discs.
– If the brake linings are not changed in time, the steel brake lining carriers grind on the brake disc. The braking effect is greatly
reduced and the brake discs are destroyed. Check the brake linings regularly.
