The interlock circuit is constituted by SW702, the top cover/paper transfer unit interlock, and SW703,
the left cover interlock, both mounted on the sensor board. These switches are controlled by the
actuator which is mechanically activated by the projection on the top cover and the paper transfer
unit. SW703 and SW702 are connected in series to the +24 V power. Physically opening the top
cover, left cover, or the paper transfer unit will disconnect the +24 V power, signaling the status to
the engine board. The top cover switch (SW701) serves only the top cover.
