8.5.2 Load Shape
Load Shape
The Shape of the Load is an important entry when you create the load profile.
Straight or Uniform loads:
In most cases you can increase the film tension without film breaks.
Uneven or Irregular loads:
These loads can have sharp edges.
This can cause a hole in the film and increase the risk of film breaks.
Note: Load Guardian uses the selections made during the Profile Build process to:
Automatically adjust the film tension; and
Adjust the number of layers of film
8.5.3 Pallet Fit
Pallet Fit
How the load fits on the pallet is an important entry when you create the load profile.
The load fits on the pallet:
A load that fits on the pallet can wrap with a higher film tension at the bottom of the load.
Inboard Load
A load is inboard when the dimensions (length or width) of the load are less than the dimensions of the
pallet.
An inboard load can be difficult to wrap at the bottom of the load.
The edges of the pallet are exposed and can be sharp, which can cause film breaks.
There are 3 Pallet Fit selections:
Fits or is Larger than the pallet
Inboard Less than 76 mm (3”)
Inboard More than 76 mm (3”)
Note: Load Guardian uses the selections made during the Profile Build process to:
Automatically adjust the film tension; and
Adjust the number of layers of film
For Inboard Loads:
Load Guardian automatically adjusts (decreases) the film tension at the bottom of the load.
This decreases the film breaks.
