SOME BACKGROUND IN BASIC PROGRAMMING
2.5 PARALLEL PRINTER
The parallel printer interface is Centroni cs
standard.
To activated the parallel printer, follow
these steps:
I. Connect the interface cable between the
computer and the parallel printer.
2. Set up your printer following the
printer's manual. Usually you will place
it in the ON-LINE mode.
3. Initialise the parallel printer by typing
PR # l if you are in BASIC
l CTRL-P if you are in Monitor
4. From now on any character displayed on
the screen will be echoed to the printer.
5. To stop printing, type
PR # 0 if you are in BASIC
0 CTRL-P if you are in Monitor
