4. THE KEYBOARD
The keyboard is the m ost frequently u sed inp ut device
of the computer. Most of your instructions and data are
entered into the computer - through the keyboard. As a
result, a well-des ig ned and easy-to-use keyboard is
es se nti al in the standpo int of a user. The following is a
brief summary of some of the features of the keyboard
of LASER 128/ l 28EX:
• The spec i ally - shaped keytops and comfortab le key
touch make typing easy .
• Auto -r epea t function reduces typing effort.
• The keys are arranged in such a way that the most
commonly u sed keys, lik e "SHIFT" and "RETURN" ,
can be located easily.
• Switch - selecta ble "QWERTY"
or "DVORAK"*
keyboard layout.
• Separate numeric keypad faci lit ates numeric data
entry.
• Special keys for cursor-contro l and screen - editing.
• 10 predefined fu n ction keys facilitates entry of
commonly used control -char acte rs.
• Two key r ollover helps speed typing.
i.e. A second key can be pressed without releasing
th e first key pressed.

are used as substitutes in different countries.
