Purpose:
To
assign a
value
to
a
variable
Format:
[LET] variable = expression
Comments:
LET
is
an
optional
statement,
and
is
becoming
less
frequently
used.
Example:
The
equal
sign

has
exactly
the
same
effect
as LET.
The
expression
can
be
either
a
constant
or
an
arithmetic
expression
.
If
you
attempt
to
numeric
value
to
variable,
then
the
"TYPE
MISMATCH
will
be
displayed.
