4) TURN ON THE V ID EO MONITOR / TV
first s in ce they take a few seconds to
warm up .
5) TURN ON THE COMPUTER by
throwing the power ON / OFF s witch to
the "ON" position. The following things
wi ll then happen:
• The power indicator is lit up. If it is
not, check whether th e power adaptor
is properly connected to the comput er
and the wall outlet or not.
• The speaker makes a short "beep"
sound . If not, check whe t her the
vo lum e contro l is properly adju s ted or
not.
• There a re words displayed on the top
of the screen. If not, check whether
the monitor is properly connected to
the computer and whether the
brightne ss control kn ob of the
monitor is in an appropriate position.
• The drive indicator is lit up and the
built-in disk drive mak es a f cw
"ra tchct y" noi ses for a moment .
If an a uto-startup program di sk is inserted
in the interna l drive, the program will be
loaded · and run auto ma ti ca lly. You sho uld
then ref er to the manual of that application
pro g ram for further instructions.
