However, since monochrome monitors
arc inexpensive, they are a popular
video display device.
• COMPOSITE COLOR VIDEO MONITOR
can display graphics in color, b ut the
i mage is not as sharp as in mon ochrome
monitors. Color fringes may be obs erved
in the characters displayed in a mixed
graphics / text screen.
• COLOR / BLACK-AND - WHITE
TELEVISION SET is another commonly-
used video di sp l ay device since most
people already have one. The only thing
you need to buy is a TV interface which
converts the composite video output of
the computer to a form suitab le for use
with a TV.
Color graphics can be displayed on a
color TV effecti vely. However, since the
resolution of TV is rather low, 80-
column text may be difficult to be read.
