8.1 Switching On
When using a gas discharge lamp, the external
supply unit must be turned on separately.
Switch on the microscope with the on/off switch
(48.1, for Leica DM2500 at the opposite stand
side).
8.2 Stages and Object Displacement
Lengthening the Coaxial Pinion
• For lengthening, pull the lower grip (49b.1)
downward. Repeat with the upper grip (49b.2).
Torque Adjustment
The torque for x and y can be individually ad-
justed using two knurled rings (49b.2,49b.4).
