powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage85.
3.Laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
4.Removetheheatsinkandfanassembly.See“Replacingtheheatsinkandfanassembly1”onpage188.
5.Locatethemicroprocessorsocket,pressdownthesmallhandleonthemicroprocessorsocket,and
thenpullthehandlealittlebitoutwardtoreleaseitfromthesecuredposition.Then,gentlypress
themicroprocessorretainertoopenit.Ensurethatthesmallhandleandthemicroprocessorretainer
areinthefullyopenposition.
