youeasilyidentifyaproblem.ThediagnosticLEDsontheIDMpanelalsovarydependingontheinstalled

Beforeyoubegin,printalltherelatedinstructionsorensurethatyoucanviewthePDFversiononanother
computerforreference.

ToinstalltheIDM,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage85.
3.Removethefrontbezel.See“Removingandreinstallingthefrontbezel”onpage87.
4.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheIDMtoanyunpaintedsurfaceontheoutsideof
theserver.Then,taketheIDMoutofthepackage.
5.ConnectthesignalcabletotherearoftheIDM.
