Riser card replacement
Use this information to remove and install a riser card.
Your server comes with one of the following riser assembly configurations:
Configuration 1
• Riser 1 assembly: LP + LP
• Riser 2 assembly: LP (available on some models)
Configuration 2
• Riser 1 assembly: LP + FHHL
For information about the supported riser cards for each configuration, see “Rear view” on page 21.
There are three types of riser assemblies. The removal and installation procedure of the riser card is similar
for all types of riser assemblies. The following procedures are based on the riser assembly in configuration 2.

Note: The riser assembly you want to remove might be different from the illustrations below, but the removal
method is the same.
