Step 6. Align the pins on the hot-swap rear drive cage with the corresponding hole and slot in the chassis.
Then, lower the hot-swap rear drive cage into the chassis until it is fully seated.

Step 7. Connect the cables to the system board or expansion slots. See “2.5-inch/3.5-inch drive backplane
(power)” on page 65 and “2.5-inch/3.5-inch drive backplane (signal)” on page 66.
After you finish
1. Reinstall the drives or drive fillers into the hot-swap rear drive cage. See “Install a 2.5/3.5-inch hot-swap
drive” on page 125.
2. Complete the parts replacement. See “Complete the parts replacement” on page 224.
