TheUniversalUniqueIdentifier(UUID)mustbeupdatedwhenthesystemboardisreplaced.UsetheLenovo
ToolsCenterSuiteCLItoupdatetheUUIDintheUEFI-basedserver.
LenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLIisanonlinetoolthatsupportsseveraloperatingsystems.Makesurethatyou
downloadtheversionforyouroperatingsystem.YoucandownloadLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLIfromthe
LenovoWebsite.TodownloadLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLIandupdatetheUUID,dothefollowing:

Step1.DownloadLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLI:
a.Gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/support.
b.ClicktheDownloadstabatthetopofthepanel.
c.UnderT oolsCenter,selectViewToolsCenterdownloads.
d.SelectLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLI.
e.Scrolldown,clickthelink,anddownloadtheLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLIversionforyour
operatingsystem.
Step2.LenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLIsetstheUUIDintheIntegratedManagementModuleII(IMM2).
SelectoneofthefollowingmethodstoaccesstheIntegratedManagementModuleII(IMM2)
tosettheUUID:
•Onlinefromthetargetsystem,suchasLANorkeyboardconsolestyle(KCS)access
•Remoteaccesstothetargetsystem(LANbased)
•BootablemediumcontainingLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLI(LANorKCS,dependingupon
thebootablemedia)
Step3.CopyandunpacktheLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLIpackage,whichalsoincludesotherrequired
files,totheserver.MakesurethatyouunpacktheLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLIandtherequired
filestothesamedirectory.
Step4.AfteryouinstallLenovoToolsCenterSuiteCLI,usethefollowingcommandsyntaxtosettheUUID:
oneclicongsetSYSTEM_PROD_DATA.SysInfoUUID<uuid_value>[access_method]
