ThemouseorUSBdevicecableissecurelyconnectedtotheserver.
ThemouseorUSBdevicedriversareinstalledcorrectly.
Theserverandthemonitorareturnedon.
ThemouseoptionisenabledintheSetupUtility.
2.IfyouareusingaUSBmouseorUSBdeviceanditisconnectedtoaUSB
hub,disconnectthemouseorUSBdevicefromthehubandconnectitdirectly
totheserver.
3.ReplacethemouseorUSBdevice.
Memoryproblems
Note:EachtimeyouinstallorremoveaDIMM,youmustdisconnecttheserverfromthepowersource;
then,wait10secondsbeforerestartingtheserver.

1.Makesurethat:
NoerrorLEDsarelitontheoperatorinformationpanel.
NoDIMMerrorLEDsarelitonthesystemboard.
Thememorymodulesareseatedcorrectly.
Youhaveinstalledthecorrecttypeofmemory.
Ifyouchangedthememory,youupdatedthememoryconfigurationinthe
SetupUtility.
Allbanksofmemoryareenabled.Theservermighthaveautomatically
disabledamemorybankwhenitdetectedaproblem,oramemorybank
mighthavebeenmanuallydisabled.
Thereisnomemorymismatchwhentheserverisattheminimummemory
configuration.
2.ReseattheDIMMs,andthenrestarttheserver.
3.CheckthePOSTerrorlog:
IfaDIMMwasdisabledbyasystem-managementinterrupt(SMI),replace
theDIMM.
IfaDIMMwasdisabledbytheuserorbythePOST,reseattheDIMM;then,
runtheSetupUtilityandenabletheDIMM.
4.CheckthatallDIMMsareinitializedintheSetupUtility;then,runmemory
diagnostics.See“RunningDSAPrebootdiagnosticprogram”onpage59.
