Step2.Turnofftheserver,anddisconnectallpowercordsandexternalcables.
Step3.Unlockandremovetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage88.
Step4.LocatetheUEFIbootbackupjumperonthesystemboard.See“System-boardswitchesand
jumpers”onpage22

Step5.MovetheUEFIbootbackupjumperfrompins1and2topins2and3toenabletheUEFIrecovery
mode.
Step6.Reinstalltheservercover;then,reconnectallpowercords.
Step7.Restarttheserver.Thesystembeginsthepower-onself-test(POST).
Step8.Boottheservertoanoperatingsystemthatissupportedbythefirmwareupdatepackagethat
youdownloaded.
Step9.Performthefirmwareupdatebyfollowingtheinstructionsthatareinthefirmwareupdatepackage
