The Modbus module has
two LEDs (RDY = READY, ERR
= ERROR) on the front cover
to identify the status:

Connected to master PLC in RUN state, current state is
“data exchange”
Not connected, PLC STOP or no data exchange
Incorrect setting of station address, operation with de-
fault values
