Removal procedures
Be sure to unplug the power cord whenever you are
working on the printer with one of the covers removed.
Be sure to remove the print cartridge before you
perform removal procedures.
Cover removals
Access cover
1. Open the front access cover.
2. Press the center of the access cover down to release the side
pivot points.
3. Remove the access cover.
Front cover
1. Open the front cover.
2. Remove the two plastic clips from the front cover support arm
hinges.
Note: Support and ease the charge roll assembly into a resting
position when disengaging the front cover support arm
hinges.
3. Disengage the front cover support arm hinges from the charge
roll assembly.
4. Release the front cover from its pivot points.
Note: Lay the front cover to one side as the operator panel
cable is attached to the controller card. See “Right side
cover” on page 4-5 and “Controller card cage
removal” on page 4-7 for more information.
Top cover
1. Open the front cover.
2. Remove the two top cover screws.
3. Remove the top cover.
