1 I nsert the flash card into the Trackit Mk3 and connect t o t he host com puter. See St ep 6 Connect
Trackit for Setup.
2 Open t he Get Card I nfo dialog box.
3 Choose Form at Disk from the Disk Utilit ies Menu.
4 Click on the Form at but t on.
5 Wait for the form at com plete m essage to appear. A 1GB card will take around 5 seconds t o for-
m at , larger cards will take longer to form at .

Factory Settings
[ > Advanced Operations > Set t ings > Fact ory Sett ings]
Factory set tings are prot ect ed by a password (via Ot her Opt ions in t he View Menu). Only trained
support st aff should have access t o fact or y sett ings.
Factory set tings also allow you to com pensate for any DC offset s t hat m ay be present on any of the
recording input s and save t he values in t he Trackit’s non- volat ile m em ory.
Configuration

Configurat ion gives access t o t he optional pulse Oxim et er and t he independent sam ple rate and
headbox m ode features. The code displayed can be copied and em ailed to Lifelines for an act ivat ion
code to be sent back.
5. 7 Reading an ambulatory recording
Click the ‘Open all playback files’ button on t he left hand side of the Trackit soft ware toolbar (refer
to Figure 14 on page 25) t o playback a recording.
I t is possible to launch a second inst ance of the Trackit soft ware and view an on- going ‘Record to
PC’ file. I f the on-going file is locat ed in a shared folder it is possible to view t he file across a local
net wor k.
As an alt er nat ive t o t he Trackit software which offers basic playback feat ures, any EDF- com patible
viewer can be used t o read t he standard EDF files recorded by t he Tr ackit Mk3.
All Trackit recordings have a user- definable 8- character file nam e. They are stored in EDF form at ,
readable in all EDF-com pat ible EEG browsers. I n an EDF- com patible browser, the pat ient ’s nam e
and recording I D are displayed in t he test properties.
