1.3. Preparation for mounting
For mounting and installing the bar feeder, it is advisable to contact LNS or one of its agents. The latter
cannot be held responsible for any malfunction resulting from an incorrect installation in which they did not
take part.
Risk of injury from heavy components!
Take note of the weight of the components.
Check that the forklift truck's lifting capacity is sufficient.
Ensure that no one is in the vicinity of the suspended load or within the
operating range of the forklift truck.
1.3.1. Lifting with a hoist
• Insert two bars (B) into the holes of the lifting plates.
• Insert the hoist (A) vertically, above the bar feeder.
• Place the straps over the ends of the bars (B), then attach them to the hoist.
• Raise the hoist to tighten the straps.
• Remove the screws holding the bar feeder to the pallet during transportation.
• Lift the bar feeder (1) and remove the pallet.
• Ensure that the bar feeder remains horizontal when moving it.
Do not knock the bar feeder as you move it; this may damage it.
• Position the bar feeder behind the lathe, aligned as closely as possible with the lathe spindle.
When positioning, the stationary and mobile space requirements for the lathe and the bar feeder
should be taken into account.
• When installing the bar feeder system, insert leveling plates under the feet.
