7.4. Application
Number of short parts (scrap parts) after loading a new bar
(cam)
This parameter ensures the quality of the first part produced.
This is done by controlling:
• The screw-cutter lug that serves to hold the headstock in the
forward position
• The part separator

In very specific cases, this parameter is used to produce short
parts before loading a new bar. Indeed, depending on the material
used and to guarantee optimum loading, it is sometimes advisable
to remove the burr on the leading edge of the off-cuts.
In principle, this is set to 0 or 1. Ask your local LNS agent for
advice on this.
Part separator goblets system enabled/disabled
This parameter allow to enable/disable the part separator goblets
system.
Part separator goblets change during bar loading
This parameter allow to enable/disable the part separator goblets
system during the new bar loading.
A third option allow to enable the part separator goblets change
when machining short parts.
Part separator goblets change during production cycle
This parameter allow to enable/disable the part separator goblets
change during production cycle.
Quantity of parts for part separator goblets change
This parameter allow to set the quantity of parts to machine before
changing the parts separator goblets.
Time delay to lock parts conveyor
This parameter allow to set the delay before the parts conveyor is
locked.
Time delay to unlock parts conveyor
This parameter allow to set the
time duration for the parts
conveyor to stay locked.
