The European Commission has released the Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE, 2012/19/EU).
Since August 2005, producers have been responsible for taking back and recycling electri-
cal and electronic equipment.

• Do not treat electrical and electronic equipment as unsorted municipal waste.
• Collect waste electrical and electronic equipment separately.

The People’s Republic of China Electronic Industry Standard SJ/T11364-2014
“Marking for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electronic and Electri-
cal Products” requires the marking for the restriction of the use of hazardous substances
in electronic and electrical products.
Marking
In accordance with the requirements specified in SJ/T11364-2014, all electronic and elec-
trical Lonza products sold in the People’s Republic of China are labeled with a marking for
the restriction of the use of hazardous substances.
Marking for the restriction of the use of hazardous substances
This marking indicates that this electronic product contains certain hazard-
ous substances and can be safely used during the environment-friendly
use period, but it shall enter the recycling system after the environment-
friendly use period.
