Adapter
This section describes the replacement of the DiTi adapters.
To prepare for replacement, proceed as follows:
• Switch the instrument off.
• Open the front safety panel.
• Manually move all Z-rods up to their topmost position.
• Move all Z-rods together towards the front of the instrument.
• Spread the Z-rods all the way.
To remove the DiTi adapter, proceed as follows:
• Hold the tip ejector tube while unscrewing the DiTi cone, using the supplied cone
wrench.
• Remove the tip ejector tube.
• Unscrew the adapter cylinder
• Pull the tubing extension and the pipetting tube approximately 25 mm (1 in) out of the
tip adapter.
• Separate the tubing extension from the pipetting tubing.
• Remove the tubing extension together with the adapter cylinder.
To install the DiTi pickup mechanism, proceed as follows:
