Adjustment
Just loosen locking nut enough to
pull calibration screw partially out
and adjust to desired position. Do
not completely remove the locking
nut. Torque locking nuts to 10 N•m
(89 lbfin).
CAUTION: Do not completely re-
move calibration screw otherwise
internal was hers will fall off. Al-
ways adjust all 3 calibration screws
andmakesuretheyareallsetto
the same position.

TYPICAL
1. Loosen just enough to permit rotating of
calibrate screw
WARNING
NEVER disassemble or modify the
drive pulley.
Improper assembly or modifica-
tions could cause the pulley to
explode v iolently under the stress
generated by the high rotational
speed. This could lead to serious
injury including the possibility of
death.
See your LYNX dealer to maintain
or service the d r ive pulley. Im-
proper servicing or maintenance
may affect performance and re-
duce belt life. Always respect
maintenance schedules.
WARNING
NEVER operate engine:
without shields and belt guard
securely installed
with hood and/or side panels
opened or removed.
NEVER attempt to make adjust-
ments to moving parts while en-
gine is running.
Track Co ndition
WARNING
Remove the tether cord cap (DESS
key) before performing any main-
tenance or adjustment, unless oth-
erwise specified. Vehicle m ust be
parkedinasafeplace,awayfrom
the trail.
Remove the tether cord cap ( D E S S
key).
Lift the rear of the snowmobile and
support it with a wid e- base snowmo-
bile mechanical standwitharearde-
flector panel. With the engine off, ro-
tate the track by hand, and inspect
condition. If worn or cut, or if track
fibers are exposed, or if missing or
defective inserts or g uides are noted;
contact an authorized LYNX dealer.
Look for any defects, such as:
perforations in the track
t ears in the tra ck
lugs that are broken or torn off, ex-
posing portions of rods
delamination of the rubber
broken rods
m issing track guide(s).
If y ou r track shows signs of deteriora-
tion, it must be replaced immediately.
When in doubt, ask your dealer.
WARNING
Riding with a damaged track could
lead to a loss of control, resulting
in a risk of s erious injury or death.
