Recommended Spark Plug
CAUTION: Use only spark plug NGK
PZFR6F. This spark plug is special-
ly design for the 600 HO E-TEC en-
gine. It must be installed to a spe-
cific torque, refer to SPARK PLUG
INSTALLAT ION for proper installa-
tion procedure. Do not attempt to
adjust gap on this plug.

Removal
Open LH side pane l.
Remove belt guard, refer to BELT
GUARD REMOVAL.
Unplug spark plug cables.

1. Spark plugs
Using tools from tool kit, unscrew
spark plugs one turn.

2. Screwdriver rod
Clean spark plugs a nd cylinder heads
with pressurized air if possible .
WARNING
Always wear safety goggles when
using pressurized air.
Unscrew spark plugs completely then
remove them.
Installation
Prior to installation, make sure that
contact surfaces of cylinder hea d and
spark plugs are free of grime.
Using a feeler gauge, verify spark plug
gap.
Replace spark plug if not w ithin spec-
ifications.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to adjust
gap on these plugs.

Tighten plugs using tools from tool kit
or with a torque w rench and a proper
socket.

Use the 16 mm socket and the s crew -
driver rod from the vehicle tool k it.
