TURN TOOL COUNTERCLOCKWISE
Then, to open the driven pulley use the
following tool from tool kit.

OPENING TOOL
Comp letely open the driven pulley by
turning the opening tool clockwise.
Turn tool clockwise until it bottoms.

To rem ove the drive belt, slip the belt
over the top of driven pulley.

Remove drive belt from drive pulley.
Install and adjust drive
belt, refe r to DRIVE BELT
INSTALLATION/ADJUSTMENT.

NOTE: The drive belt height must be
checked each time a drive belt is in -
stalled and should be rechecked after
50 km (30 miles).
The maximum drive belt life span is
obtaine d w hen the arrow on the driv e
belt is directed toward the front of the
vehicle. This will ensure that correct
direction of rotation is respected.

NOTE: If your drive belt was broken
while riding, y ou will need to open
the driven pulley sheaves first before
trying to in stall a n e w belt. Refer to
DRIVE BELT REMOVAL for pro cedure.
Install drive belt.
