MacDon 5000 - Hydraulic Fitting Torque Specifications

TORIQUE SPECIFICATIONS
TIGHTENING C-RING FITTINGS'
1. Inspect D-ring and seal for dirt or obvious
defect s.
2. On angle Mings, back the lock nut off
unt il w as her bottom s out at top of groove.
3. Hand tighten fitting until back-up wa s her
or washer fa ce (i f straight fitting) bot\()m s
on f ace and D-ring is seated .
4. Position angle fittings by unscrewing no
more than one turn .
5. Tight en straight fittings to to rque shown.
6. Tighten angle ftttings to torque shown
while holding body of fitting with a wr'ench .
The torqu e value s shown are based Din lu -
bricat ed connections as in reassembly .
TIGHTENING FLARE TYPE TUBE Fm~
1. Check flare and flare seat for defect~; that
might cause leakage.
2. Al i gn tube with fitting belore tightening .
3. Lubricate connection and hand tightem
s wivel nut until snug .
4. To prevent twisting the tube(s). us e two
wrenche s. Place one wrench on the con ·
nector body and with the second tig~lten
Ihe swivel nut to the torque shown.
The torque values shown are based on lu·
bricated connection s as in reas se mtlly .
