OPERATION
REEL SPEED
For best feeding
of
the crop into the auger, reel
spee
d should
be
just faster
than
ground
speed
.
This gently sweeps
material
across
the
sickle i
nto
t
he
auger.
T
he
reel
speed
is
factory
set
at
66
rpm
.
With
a
pulley
position
exchange,
other
reel
speeds
are
possible. (See chart
.)
A slower
ree
l
speed
wi
ll
reduce excessive
crop
carry-over,
white
a faster
reel
speed
wi
ll
result
in a
more
even
stu
bbl
e
height
in
down
and
tang
l
ed
crops.
