Sickle Se ct ions
Ch eck daily t hat sections are firm ly bell ied to the
sick
le b ack a nd are not wo rn or broken. Rep l ace
as re qui r ed .
To rep l ace si ckle section:
1. A worn or broken si ckle section ( A) can be
rep laced without removing si Gkle fro m
Gutlerbar.
2. Re m ove l ock nuts a nd lift sec tion o' ff of bo lts.
IMPORTANT: Do no t mix hea vy and l ig ht
sickle sect io ns on sa me sic kl e.
3. Cl ea n any dirt off of sickle back a nd p os iti on
new sickle section on bo lts. Secure l wi th lock-
nu ts .
To Re mov e Sickle
A
WARNING: Always stand to rear of
s ickle during removal to reduce
risk of injury from cutting edges.
We ar heavy gloves when handling
sickle.
1. Clean area around sickle head . Stroke si ckl e to
its outer li mit a nd remove bo lt ( A) .
2. Insert screwd ri ver in slot (8 ) and pry up on
sickle head p in to free sickle.
3. P ull sickle out.
4. C ov er sick le h ead to shield bearin·g f rom dirt.
