STORING
LUBRICANTS
Your
machine
can
operate
at
top
efficienc}'
only
if
clean
lubricants
are
used.
Use
clean
containers
to
handle
all
lubri
cants.
Store them
in
an
area
protected
from
dust,
moisture,
and
other contaminants.
SEALED BEARING INSTALLATION
1.
Clean
shaft
and
coat
with
ru
st preventative.
2.
Install
f1angette
, bearing,
second
f1angE~tte
and
lock collar.
NOTE:
The locking
cam
is
only
on
one
side
of
the
bearing.
3.
Install (but
do
not tighten)
the
f1angette
bolts.
4.
When
the shaft is correctly
located
, lock
the
lock collar
with
a
punch
. T
he
collar
shl:)uld
be
locked
in the same direction the
shaft
rotates.
Tight
en
the set screw
in
the
co
lla
r.
5.
Tighten
the
f1angette
bolts
.
6.
Lo
osen
the flangette
bolts
on
the
mati
ng
bearing
one
turn
and
re~tighten
.
This
will a

ow
the
bearing
to
line
up
.
