6.5 FSM 2.0 – STO

6.5.1 Features
The Functional Safety Module FSM 2.0 – STO serves as an expansion of the Servo drive ARS 2000 FS.
 It reaches the function “Safe Torque Off” (STO) with SIL3 according to EN 61800-5-2 / EN 62061 /
IEC 61508 or category 4 / PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1.
 It reaches the function “Safe Torque Off” (STO) with SIL3 in accordance with EN 61800-5-2 and PL e
in accordance with EN 13849-1.
 It is equipped with a floating feedback contact.
 It can be simply plugged into the basic unit from the outside, so that it can be used for upgrading
systems that are already equipped with ARS 2300 FS Servo drives.
 It is exclusively suitable for the ARS 2000 FS product range.
 It offers a user-friendly parameterisation with the Metronix ServoCommander
®
software.
CAUTION!
The function STO as a sole safety function is not sufficient for drives under permanent
torque, such as hanging loads.
