9.1 Prepare for Disassembly
9.1.1 Tools
During parts disassembly and replacement, the following tools may be required:
 Metric Allen wrench (2.5#, 3#, 4#, 5# and 8#)
 Phillips screwdriver
 Diagonal pliers
 Flathead screwdriver
 Metric M3 and M4 socket screwdriver
 Adjustable wrench
 Tweezers
 M16 nut installation clamp(0621-J26-1)
9.1.2 Preparations
Before disassembly,
 Make sure that the anesthesia machine is turned off and disconnected from the AC
power source.
 Bleed down the gas pressure inside the anesthesia machine as described below.
 Disconnect all pipeline and cylinder gas supplies.
 Prepare the tools required for disassembly.
 Maneuver the anesthesia machine to an appropriate location and then apply the brake.
CAUTION
 The internal parts may be contaminated after long term use. Wear special gloves
during disassembly and inspection.
