CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your telephone meets the highest design and manufacturing standards. It should therefore be
treated with care. The suggestions listed below will help you enjoy this product for a long time.
Follow all the safety precautions given on “Safety information” on page 8. These precautions
apply to the DECT phone, the charger cradle and the rechargeable batteries, as well as to the
accessories.
To clean the telephone, first pull out the adapter plug of the charger cradle from the main socket.
Wipe the devices with an anti-static cloth or soft, damp leather rag and then with a dry cloth.
ENVIRONMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS AND
DISPOSAL

This product is environmentally friendly and can be recycled. It was manufactured in accordance
with statutory requirements and with the Manufacturers’ Guideline 2002. It was developed with
special focus on low energy consumption, long life, and ease of servicing. The few materials
used in its manufacture are environmentally friendly. Help to extend the life of your
communications device by adhering to the safety instructions, the information on battery lifetime,
and the care and maintenance instructions.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISPOSAL
To prevent potential consequences to the environment and to health from the disposal of
hazardous substances contained in electrical and electronic devices, the directives of the
European Parliament and the Council with respect to the following:
• Directive 2002/96/EC “Waste electrical and electronic equipment” and
• Directive 2002/95/EC “Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical
and electronic equipment”
These Directives are nationally and legally regulated in all countries of the EU.
The legislation is aimed primarily at the avoidance of waste from electrical and electronic
equipment as well as at the re-utilization of materials, the final recycling and other forms of
recycling such waste in order to reduce the amount of waste to be disposed of as well as to
decrease the entry of hazardous substances from electrical and electronic equipment into the
waste system.
Note: Never spray your telephone with cleaning agents or solvents. Clean the handset
and charger cradle contacts with a lint-free cloth.
