Air Governor
The air governor, located in the
engine compartment, regulates the air
compressor to cut-in and cut-out, keep-
ing the air system in the specified oper-
ating range of 105 to 120 psi.
Cut-in pressure of approximately
105 psi is factory preset from the gover-
nor manufacturer and is not adjustable.
Cut-out pressure is calibrated to 120
psi. When cut-out pressure is reached,
the governor will deactivate the com-
pressor.
Air Storage Tank
The air tank should be drained manually once per month, or more, depend-
ing on operating conditions where humidity is high. The air tank is equipped
with an auto drain valve on the wet side and a manual drain valve on the dry
side. The air tank has a pressure relief valve which is set to release at 130 PSI.
To Drain Air Tank:
• Slowly open the manual drain valve as moisture will be expelled under
pressure. After moisture and air is purged from the tank, the valve should
remain open an additional five minutes to allow any remaining moisture a chance to drain.
• Close valves and start engine. Check for leaks.
