A child safety seat is required for any child:
• Infants - from birth to one year, or up to 21 pounds, the child is considered an infant. A
(convertible) safety seat for an infant must be secured facing rearward. The top of the head
must be below the top of the safety seat. Secure safety seat harness straps at or below the
shoulders. (See Example 1).
