Programming a PainSmart
pump with Protocol Library

YES key is used to verify or enter
NO key is used to change, erase or leave screen
Turn the pump on, watch self test and power source bar.
Set tubing must be installed for pump to run.
Press the
and keys to scroll through the menu, and press the YES key to accept/confirm a
field entry and the NO key to reject/change a field entry.
Note: Library therapies may have soft or hard limits set for various values.
For PCA therapies: Hard or soft limit settings may be set for Max Basal Rate, Max Patient Bolus
Amt, and Min Bolus Interval. Hard limits may be set for Max Load Dose.
Note: A warning screen will display if a value is entered that is out of range of the soft limit
setting(s) for a downloaded therapy. The screen will ask the user to override the soft limit value.
Pressing YES will accept the new value, example below:
