7 DN Occlu (Down Occlusion): This feature allows the pump to sense an occlusion pressure
in the line between the pump and the access site, e.g., a kink in the tubing between the pump
and the patient, a blockage in the access site, or a clamp left on the distal tubing. ere are two
options for this eld: the “Low” setting triggers the alarm when it detects in-line pressures at 400
mmHg ±150 (8 ±3 psi “pounds per square inch”), or the “High” setting (default setting) alarms
when it detects in-line pressures at 900 mmHg ±150 (18 ±3 psi). Press the NO/CHANGE key

When the Air-In-Line Sensor is set to “OFF” and the RUN key is pressed at the Run Option
screen, the alert message below will appear on the screen. It will also appear if the Air-In-Line
is changed to “OFF” from the OPTIONS menu when an infusion is in progress and the AIR
SENS eld is accepted.

Line sensor will be completely disabled and the pump will start the infusion.
