Cause: BOLUS button or key is pressed before the programmed time interval
between
bolus doses have elapsed.
Resolution: Advise patient of time limits between bolus doses per agency protocols.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** CALCULATED AMT OUT OF RANGE
Alert: Invalid calculated amount for infusion
Cause: The calculated amount for the infusion, based on the values entered for rate
and time, exceeds either the pump limit or the value entered for bag volume.
Resolution: Recheck data entry for Rx.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** CALCULATED RATE OUT OF RANGE
Alert: Invalid calculated rate of infusion
Cause: The calculated rate for the infusion, based on the values entered for Volume/
Amount and Time, exceeds either the minimum or maximum rate limit of the
pump or the maximum rate programmed in medLMTS
™.
Resolution: Recheck data entry for Rx.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** CALCULATED TIME OUT OF RANGE
Alert: Invalid calculated time
Cause: The calculated time for the therapy, based on the values entered for Volume/
Amount and Rate, exceeds the therapy time limit of 288:00 HH:MM (167:59
HH:MM Software Versions below R37C).
Resolution: Recheck data entry. The time calculated by the pump cannot exceed the
pump range.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** CHANGES REQUIRE REPROGRAMMING. YES to
Continue NO to Return
Alert: Changes to the data will require re-entry of prescription.
Cause: Attempted to change the Pre-Prescription Screen prior to start of infusion.
Resolution: If a change to the programmed prescription is required, press “YES”.
Note: Selecting YES will clear the entire prescription and require re-entry of
the prescription.
If no change is required, press NO to preserve the current
prescription and return back to the Pre-Prescription screen.
LCD Display: ***ALERT *** DATE/TIME CHANGE NOT ALLOWED
Alert: Not allowed to change date or time.
Cause: Attempt made to modify system clock while a therapy/delay is in progress.
Resolution: If the therapy in progress is to be continued, wait until the infusion is
complete and then change the date and time.
