4.8 Logging On Additional BA Wearers
The ECB allows the creation of 6 individual teams, but it is recommended to have at least 2 members in one
team.
4.8.1 Assigning to an Existing Team
1. Open the compressed air cylinder of the BA wearer.
2. Pull the safety key from the Control Module of the BA wearer.
3. Write the BA wearer information on the tally: name, current time and
current pressure level.
4. Put the tally into the tally reader.
The next available bar on the ECB display turns into a team choice.
5. Select the team the BA wearer should be assigned to, e.g. Team 1.
The BA wearer is assigned to the team.
When the BA wearer opens the pressure cylinder, the bar on the ECB
display changes into a display of the current operating data:
The cylinder pressure that is automatically transmitted via long
range radio after successful login
The displayed time (TTW/TOW/Elapsed time)
The radio connection status
6. Place the tally into the next available tally slot.
WARNING!
Tallies must be placed into tally slots from top to bottom in the same order in
which they are scanned into the tally reader. Placing tallies into the tally slots out
of order will result in a mismatch between the tallies and the BA data shown on
the ECB.
Failure to follow this warning can result in serious personal injury or
death.
