Why does my Nabco Opus Control Controller not react to the activation signal?
    • M
      marshjulieAug 21, 2025
If your Nabco Controller isn't reacting to the activation signal, start by checking the main screen to see if 'IN' or 'EXT' highlights when the signal is applied. If not, inspect the wiring and the activation device. Also, check if 'BA' is highlighted. If a 4-wire switch is used, ensure 'Input BA Circuit' is set to 'Normally Closed'. If a 3-wire switch or no switch is used, it should be set to 'Normally Open'. If the status shows 'Stopped' with the door closed and 'BA' is not highlighted, power cycle the controller. Ensure you navigate back to the main screen for the activation signal to function.

What to do if my Nabco Opus Control Controller door stays open after manually opening it?
    • W
      William TurnerSep 4, 2025
If the door stays open after manually opening it, the 'Manual Open Function' might be set to 'No Action' and the 'Manual Open Sensitivity' to '0'. If you want 'No Action', change 'Manual Open Sensitivity' to any value other than '0'.

Why does my Nabco Opus Control Sim Pair behave oddly?
    • K
      Kelly MooreSep 3, 2025
If your Nabco Controller Sim Pair is behaving oddly, it might be due to incorrect communication between the controls. Perform a 'copy data' from one control to the other. After doing this, one control should display 'Type 1' on the main screen, and the other should display 'Type 2'. The specific type assigned to each doesn't matter, but they must be different.

What causes a Nabco Opus Control Controller 'Drive Circuit' error?
    • J
      John MacdonaldSep 1, 2025
A 'Drive Circuit' error on your Nabco Controller can stem from a few causes. It could be due to abnormal voltage at the Motor Circuit, in which case you should check all connections between the Control and Motor. Another cause might be abnormal current draw from the motor, so inspect the Motor Fuse. Electrical noise may also trigger a false error; if the error doesn't happen repeatedly, it's likely not a significant issue.

What to do if the Nabco Opus Control Controller closing functions do not work when opened manually?
    • R
      Rodney HansonAug 31, 2025
If the closing functions aren't working after manually opening the door, change the 'manual open function' setting to something other than 'no action'. 'Stop and close' is often the best option.

Why are my Nabco Controller Double Egress pairs not Synchronizing?
    • D
      Deborah Yates DVMAug 29, 2025
If your Double Egress pairs aren't synchronizing, try these steps: * Remove the CANbus cable. * Set both Controls as single doors. * Parallel the activation signal between both Controls. * Ensure safety signals are connected only to their respective door's Control. Also, make sure both controls are set to 'Double Egress'. Consider reviewing the 'Sim Pair behaves oddly' section for additional guidance.

What to do if my Nabco Opus Control door does not always close during Latch Check?
    • Q
      qwoodsAug 27, 2025
If the door doesn't always close during the Latch Check, try increasing the latch check speed. Alternatively, increase the operator arm preload, or, if you have a GT710, increase the spring tension on the hydraulic closer.

Why is it hard to manually open my Nabco Opus Control door?
    • J
      Jake CombsAug 26, 2025
If you're finding it hard to manually open your Nabco Controller door, consider the following: * Check that the shoe position and rod length match the dimensions specified in the manual. * Reduce the preload on the operator. For GT8500 models, ensure the preload is at most one notch on the operator spline to comply with ANSI 156.19. * Re-enter '0' for 'hold closed force' under 'optional settings'. Even if the software indicates it's already set to '0', re-entering it can resolve the issue, especially on early Opus controls.

What to do if I get a Recycle Warning on my Nabco Controller?
    • D
      Daniel MorrowAug 23, 2025
If you're getting a Recycle Warning on your Nabco Controller, inspect the door and door path for any resistance to movement. Adjusting the Recycle Sensitivity may also be necessary.
