Navistar,Inc.warrantsyourheavy-dutydieselengineforthe
followingwarrantyperiod(whichevercomesrst):
LightHeavyDieselEngine

•50,000miles(80,000km)
•Orifcoveredbyanybasicorextendedwarranty(ifgreater
thanabove)
MediumHeavyDieselEngine
•5years
•100,000miles(160,000km)
•Orifcoveredbyanybasicorextendedwarranty(ifgreater
thanabove)
Yourheavy-dutydieselengineconformstoU.S.Environmental
ProtectionAgencyregulationsforemissionsystems.
Theenginemodelyear,serviceclass(lightheavyormedium
heavy),andrequiredemissioninformationisontheexhaust
emissionlabellocatedontopoftheExhaustGasRecirculating
(EGR)manifoldmixeronthefrontoftheengine.Thiswarranty
isbasedontheenginemodelyear,notthemodelyearofthe
vehicle.Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethenewvehicle
isdeliveredtotherstretailpurchaser.
REQUIREDMAINTENANCE
Asthevehicleowner,youareresponsibleforallrequired
maintenancedescribedinthismanual.Navistar,Inc.
recommendsthatyouretainallmaintenancereceipts.Navistar
willnotdenyanemissionwarrantyclaimsolelybecauseyou
havenorecordofmaintenance.However,aclaimmaybe
deniedifyourfailuretoperformpropermaintenanceresulted
inthefailureofawarrantedpartandyoucannotprovide
appropriateevidenceofmaintenance.Takeyourvehicletoan
authorizedserviceproviderwhenaproblemoccurs.
WARRANTYREPAIRSANDSERVICE
Allemissioncontrolsystempartsprovendefectiveduringnormal
usewillberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.
Warrantyrepairsandservicewillbedonebyanauthorized
serviceproviderwithnochargeforparts,laboranddiagnostics.
Warrantyrepairsshouldbecompletedinareasonabletime,not
toexceed30days.Navistar,Inc.maydenywarrantycoverageif
yourvehicleoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,neglect,improper
maintenanceorunapprovedmodications.
