ENGINEIDLESHUTDOWNTIMER(CALIFORNIAANDALL

idletimecanbeprogrammedupto60minutes.TheECMwill
deactivatetheISTwhenthePTOisactive.
Thirtysecondsbeforeengineshutdown,theIDLESHUTDOWN
indicatorintheinstrumentpanelgaugeclusterilluminates.This
continuesuntiltheengineshutsdownorthelowidleshutdown
timerisreset.TheenginemustbeoutofgearfortheISTto
work.Engineshutdowntimerwilldeactivateforoneormoreof
thefollowingconditions:
•Enginespeedisnotatidlespeed(700rpm).
•VehiclemovementoraVehicleSpeedSensor(VSS)faultis
detected.
•ManualDPFregenerationisenabled(ParkedRegen).
•AcceleratorpedalmovementoranAcceleratorPedal
Sensor(APS)faultisdetected.
•Enginecoolantoperatingtemperatureisbelow60°F(16°C).
•Brakepedalmovementorabrakeswitchfaultisdetected.
•Parkingbraketransitionisdetected.
•Clutchpedalispressedorclutchpedalswitchfaultis
detected(manualtransmissions,ifequippedwithaclutch
switch).
•Shiftselectorismovedfromneutral(automatic
transmissions).
•IftheISTisenabled,theColdAmbientProtection(CAP)will
notfunction.

NOTE:Ifoperatingintemperaturesbelow-20°F(-29°C),contact
anauthorizedserviceproviderforinformationaboutspecialcold
weatherequipmentandprecautions.
NOTE:Attemperaturesbelow10°F(-12°C),acrankcase
mountedcupplugcoolantheaterisrecommendedtoimprove
coldstarting.

•Correctamountofelectrolyte,ifnotamaintenancefree
battery
•Fullbatterycharge
•Conditionofotherelectricalequipment
