theengineandsetaDTC.Theoperatorhas30secondsto
safelypullvehicleofftheroadbeforetheengineshutsoff.
ARedStopLampwillilluminatebeforeengineshutdownis
approaching.TheECMallowstheenginetoberestartedand
runfor30–secondperiods.
EventLog-Thisfeaturelogsoccurrencesoftheeventaccording
toenginehoursandodometerreadings,forbothStandard
warningandoptionalProtectionmodes.
HD-OBDOVERVIEW
TheHD-OBDsystemusesmanyindividualpre-programmed
“monitors”toensurethevehicleismeetingemissionsstandards.
AnHD-OBDmonitorisastrategytoevaluatetheperformance
ofanemissionsrelatedsystemorcomponent.Allmonitors
aredesignedforexecutioninaprescribedfrequency;some
monitorsruncontinuously,whilesomerunaspecicratio
againstthenumberofdrivecycles.
Theoperatorwillbealertedtoemissionsorothersystem
problemswhentheMalfunctionIndicatorLamp(MIL)illuminates.
WhentheMILilluminates,bringthevehicleinforserviceat
thenextavailableopportunity.TheHD-OBDsystemdoesnot
changethewaythevehicleshouldbedriven,therecommended
drivingstyle,orthewayyouusethevehicle.
