Thelow-pressurefuelsystemusesanintegratedlow-pressure
fuelmodulewithprimarylter,secondarylter,fuelcooler,and
electricself-primingfuelpumptodrawfuelfromthetank(s)to
theengine.Thisintegratedlow-pressuremodulesignicantly
reducesthenumberoffuellinesandconnectionpoints,and
ismountedovertheleftvalvecover.Theprimaryfuellter
assemblyincludesaWaterInFuel(WIF)sensorandanoptional
fuelheater.Waterandsolidsareseparatedfromthefuelandthe
waterisconnectedinthewaterseparatorbowl.Theinstrument
panelWIFlampilluminateswhenwaterneedstobedrained.A
drainvalveinthewaterseparatorbowldrainswaterout.Fuelis
dischargedtothesecondaryfuellter.Thesecondaryfuellter
assemblyispressureregulatedandincorporatesanairbleed
oricetoautomaticallypurgeairintroducedintothesystem.

Anaircompressorisavailableforapplicationsthatrequireair
brakesorairsuspension.
OptionalFuelHeater
Afuelheaterisavailableandinstalledintheprimaryfuellter
assembly.Theheaterwarmsthesupplyfueltopreventwaxing
duringcoldconditions.
OptionalCoolantHeater
Acoolantheaterisavailabletoraisethetemperatureofthe
coolantsurroundingthecylindersforimprovedperformance
duringcoldweatherstartups.

Theengineandvehicleexhaustpipingincludesan
AftertreatmentSystemtocapturesootandotherparticulates
beforetheyexittheexhaustpipe.Thesootiscapturedbythe
DieselParticulateFilter(DPF)andisperiodicallyconvertedto
carbondioxide(CO
2
