WARRANTYPERIOD
Navistar,Inc.warrantsyourlightormediumheavy-dutydiesel
engineforthefollowingwarrantyperiod(whichevercomesrst):
•5years
•100,000miles(160,000km)or3000hours
•Orifcoveredbyanybasicorextendedwarranty(ifgreater
thanabove)
Yourheavy-dutydieselengineconformstoapplicableCalifornia
AirResourcesBoardregulations.Thisvehicleisregisteredand
certiedforsaleinCalifornia.
Theenginemodelyear,serviceclass(lightheavyormedium
heavy),andrequiredemissioninformationareontheexhaust
emissionlabellocatedontopoftheExhaustGasRecirculating
(EGR)manifoldmixeronthefrontoftheengine.Thiswarranty
isbasedontheenginemodelyear,notthemodelyearofthe
vehicle.Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethenewvehicle
isdeliveredtotherstretailpurchaser.
REQUIREDMAINTENANCE
Asthevehicleowner,youareresponsibleforallrequired
maintenancedescribedinthismanual.Navistar,Inc.
recommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenance
onyourtruck,butNavistar,Inc.willnotdenywarrantysolelyfor
thelackofreceiptsoryourfailuretoensuretheperformanceof
allscheduledmaintenance.However,aclaimmaybedenied
ifNavistardemonstratesthatthe(engine/vehicle)hasbeen
abused,neglected,orimproperlymaintained,andthatsuch
abuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenancewasthecauseofthe
needfortherepairorreplacementofthepart.Takeyourvehicle
toanauthorizedserviceproviderwhenaproblemoccurs.
WARRANTYREPAIRSANDSERVICE
Allemissioncontrolsystempartsprovendefective,orfailto
meettherequirementsintheCaliforniaCodeofRegulations,
Title13,Sections2700to2706,and2710duringnormal
use,willberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.
Warrantyrepairsandservicewillbedonebyanauthorized
serviceproviderwithnochargeforparts,laboranddiagnostics.
Warrantyrepairsshouldbecompletedinareasonabletime,
nottoexceed30days.Navistar,Inc.maydenyyouwarranty
coverageifyourvehicleoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,
neglect,impropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodications.

parts
arerecommendedformaintenanceorrepairstomaintainthe
originalqualityofyouremissioncertiedengine.Ifpartsnot
recommendedbyNavistar,Inc.causedamagetotheengine
orvehicle,thewarrantyisinvalidandmaintenanceandrepair
costswillnotbecovered.
