•Allowtheenginetocoolfor15minutesormore.
•Wrapathickclotharoundtheradiatorcaporcoolanttank
cap.
•Loosencapslowlyaquartertohalfturntoventpressure.
•Pauseforamomenttoavoidbeingscaldedbysteam.
•Continuetoturncapcounterclockwisetoremove.
Itisrecommendedthatthecoolantbereplacedusingacoolant
extractiontool.Theadvantagestousingthistoolare;thecoolant
systemwillevacuateandllmorecompletely,inlesstime,and
inasanitaryfashion.Extractionandllingisdonethroughquick
disconnectttingsinstalledintheradiatorendtanksfromthe
factory.
1.Parkvehiclesotheengineislevelandshutengineoff.
2.SetparkingbrakeandshifttransmissiontoParkor
Neutral.
3.Drainthecoolantusingoneofthefollowingtwo
methods.
NOTE:Ifusingthecoolantextractionservicetoolmethod,order
KL500NAV-NavistarCoolantManagementToolKit.Ifthe
vehicleisnotequippedwithamalequick-connectttingatthe
coolantdrainlocation,seeyourauthorizedserviceproviderfor
partandinstallation.

1.Seeinstructionsincludedwiththeextractiontoolfor
properoperation.
2.Boththehightemperatureandlowtemperatureradiator
