RadiatorShutterEnable(RSE)
RSEprovidesasignaltoopenorclosetheradiatorshutters.
Closingtheshutterswillkeeptheenginewarmduringcold
weatheroperation.Thisprovidesfasterwarmupofthe
passengercabandenablesfasterwindshielddefrosting.
RemoteEngineSpeedControl(RESC)
RESC,commonlyreferredtoasremotePTO,providesamethod
foranoperatortosetandmaintainenginespeedwithoutusing
theacceleratorpedal.Itiscommonlyusedforpoweringauxiliary
devices.
Whencontroloverenginespeedisrequiredfromoutsidethe
vehicle'scab,remotemountedswitchesmustbeusedtoturnon
PTOenginespeedcontrolandselectthedesiredenginespeed.
EnginespeedcanberampedupanddownwithRESCsimilar
tothewaythein-cabPTOfeatureworks;however,theRESC
featureincludestwoadditionalswitches(remotepresetand
remotevariable),whichallowtheoperatortochoosethemode
ofenginespeedcontroloperation.
CustomerprogrammableparameterswithintheECMprovide
RESCrelatedoptionsthatcanbeadjustedtosuitthecustomer's
needs.Choosingwhetheraremotethrottlepedalisusedfor
PTOoperationisanexample.
RoadSpeedLimiting(RSL)
RSLisdesignedtoregulatethemaximumvehiclespeedas
controlledbytheacceleratorpedal.
CustomerprogrammableparameterswithintheECMprovide
vehiclespeedgovernorrelatedoptionsthatcanbeadjusted
tosuitthecustomer'sneeds.Aparameterisusedtosetthe
maximumacceleratorcontrolledvehiclespeed.
Additionalprogrammingexibilityisincludedtoallowatrade-off
tobemadebetweenperformanceandfueleconomy.
