118 Using Advanced Features
Structure
Installation site:
Broadband router: Connects with Internet.
Intranet:
L2TP gateway
– Connects with the Internet. Performs VPN communication with US110 together with
Authentication server.
– IPSec is used for data encryption. For authentication of IPSec, [Preshared Key] is used.
The character string of Preshared Key specified here will also be specified in US110.
– Selects a policy to assign an IP address for US110 (to assign at L2TP gateway or at
external authentication server).
– RADIUS is used for user authentication. For authentication of RADIUS, PAP protocol
is used.
– When an external RADIUS server is used for user authentication, communication
settings are provided at L2TP gateway.
RADIUS authentication server:
– Authenticates the user when the US110 is connected with the Internet. The RADIUS
authentication server must reply to authentication request sent from L2TP gateway.
Provide settings appropriately for each device.
