The inial start-up is to be performed with the acousc enclosure removed to verify the
direcon of rotaon. Ret the acousc enclosure when all checks have been performed.
5.2.1 Check the lter cleaning funcon
When the unit is in Running mode, see Secon ‘6.1.3 Running (Running mode)’, press the
lter cleaning buon, see gure 7, item 8, and check that the lter cleaning procedure
starts. The lter cleaning funcon consists of the Filter Cleaning Valve (FCV), which is a
pneumac cylinder with a valve disc. The FCV is located at the top of the lter housing
under the enclosure, see gure 8, item 6. A disnct change in sound can be heard as the
valve releases atmospheric air into the lter, indicang that the funcon works properly.
See also Secon ‘3.1 Funcon’.
5.2.2 Check the automac start and stop funcon
NOTE! This procedure only works if default PLC sengs are used.
Press the Standby/Running buon to put the unit into Standby mode. The unit is not to
start unl a valve is opened at a workplace acvang its microswitch, or the test start/
lter cleaning buon is pressed, see the top of gure 8 and Secon ‘8.3 Filter cleaning in
Running mode’. When the valve closes, the unit switches over to Idling mode and aer a
delay of approximately 10 seconds, a lter cleaning operaon is performed.
Aer an addional me delay of approximately 12 minutes, the unit will go into Standby
mode.
The lter cleaning delay is set by the DIR_me relay, and the stop delay is set by the SSR_
me relay.
With all valves at the workstaons closed, check that the motor slows down (a disnct
change in sound can be heard), and that switching to Idling mode with lter cleaning takes
place aer approximately 10 seconds.
Approximately 12 minutes aer the unit has switched to Idling mode, it should go to
Standby mode due to the SSR funcon switching o.
